About Boy Scout Troop 484.
BSA Troop 484 is located in Clayton, CA at the foothills of Mount Diablo. We are part of the Muir District within the Mount Diablo Silverado Council. Troop 484 is proudly chartered by the Clayton Business & Community Association (CBCA).
We are a Scout led troop guided by Adult Leaders. We believe in creating a positive and safe environment where scouts can mature into young responsible adults, serving in leadership positions as they embark on the path to Eagle Scout.
We have approximately 35 scouts, ranging in age from 12 to 18. We are guided by one Scout Master, seven Assistant Scout Masters, and many active parents serving on our Parent Committee.
The success of the troop is directly related to the active participation of both the Scouts and their parents. We expect parents to be active in the troop and lead at least one activity or event each year.
The yearly troop activities include snow camping, skiing, day hikes, car camping, backpacking, and attendance at one or more BSA summer camps.
The troop meets every Monday at 7:30 PM. The first Monday of the month is reserved for the parent meeting and the scout leaders only.
We welcome any prospective scouts and parents to attend our meetings. For more information on this, or general questions about our Troop, please email our Membership Chair via email at Membership@bsatroop484.com
